In 2015 I put together music for Michelle Joni's Skipping Club under the alias Richie Donut$ (listen to that here). I decided that I wanted to use the name Richie Donut$ for a character in a film so I stopped creating under that alias after I gave that to her. So you are getting the one and only Richie Donut$ “release” that ever went down in history. Only my sister, a couple of very close friends, and Michelle Joni have this up to now.
Michelle Joni's Skipping Club was a movement that believes in the power of skipping, started by @michellejoni. Much respect to Michelle Joni for rocking her skipping club as I thought it is such a fun, unique, and positive idea. I feel this music is great for a Saturday afternoon so that is why I'm posting it this afternoon. I do recommend you listen to the original here before you rock it on Spotify or Apple Music because some things are just not available on those platforms. This would include the first song which is The Lodge Boys “Pleasure Escapade”. I replaced that on the playlists with the two originals by Janet Jackson. Also the Logo “Give Mo Luv” remix by Boston Bun mashed up with Bell Biv DeVoe's “Poison” has been replaced with those originals. That version of “Truffle Butter” has been replaced with the original. I replaced “Souls” by TroyBoi with my favorite track by Troyboi called “Do You?” I replaced The Lodge Boy ft. Heather Mack “Fame” with the original by Irene Cara. Lastly, the flipped version of “Is This Love” by Bob Marley has been replaced with the original. Of course the original versions of all of these are amazing, that's self evident. BUT in the context of that what I put together for Michelle Joni's Skipping Club, I was very intentional on using those specific versions as they fit that specific music bed better.
